Stoddert Elementary School

The historic Stoddert Elementary School serves one of the most diverse populations in the city and is recognized as one of the best elementary schools in the District. RMc, in association with Perkins Eastman, supported the integration of the existing building into the new school campus. The historic preservation detail and structural analysis conducted by RMc guided the contractor through the stabilization and restoration. The modernization and expansion of the school reinforce a sense of community by creating a building that can serve as both a school and a community center. This project is LEED® Gold via the U.S. Green Building Council.
